Privacy Overview

This policy explains how Nixdorf handles information in connection with Flavor Journal and this website.

Information Collection

Nixdorf does not collect personal information through normal use of Flavor Journal. The app does not require an account, profile, login, or registration.

Application Data

Entries such as dishes, drinks, recipe notes, tastings, ratings, flavor tags, tasting notes, favorites and “Would repeat” markers are used to provide the app’s journaling functions.

Local Device Storage

Application information may be stored locally on your own device so the journal can function. This local information is not transmitted to or stored in a Nixdorf user-profile database.

Website Data

This website is intended as a public informational site. It does not provide accounts, member areas, or user profiles. Nixdorf does not use the website to collect Flavor Journal content.

Third-Party Services

The website links to Google Play. If you choose to open Google Play or another external service, that service may process information under its own privacy terms. Nixdorf does not control third-party privacy practices.

Security

Keeping journal content local reduces the amount of app content transmitted to external systems. Users should still protect their devices with appropriate operating-system security controls.

Data Retention

Nixdorf does not retain personal user data on company servers through normal use of Flavor Journal. Locally saved application data remains on the user’s device until the user removes it, clears application data, or uninstalls the application.

Data Deletion

Because Nixdorf does not maintain a server-side personal user account database for Flavor Journal, there is normally no remote user profile requiring deletion. Users can remove locally stored app information using available in-app data controls, the operating system’s application-data controls, or by uninstalling the application. If you voluntarily contact Nixdorf by email, you may request deletion of personal information contained in that correspondence where legally applicable.

Children

Flavor Journal is not designed to require personal profiles or account creation. Nixdorf does not knowingly build profiles of children through normal use of the app.

Policy Changes

This policy may be updated when the app, website, or legal requirements change. Material changes should be reflected on this page.
